Enuff with the Walk-outs.

She sings for the Lovers. For the Love.
" To all you haters... I ain't singin to you . It's about the Lovers. Leave the stress at home. Tell the drama 'no'. You ain't gonna kill my vibe. This song is about You."

She sings with such eloquence in her opening up-tempo song from her #1 Debut album 'I Look to You' , at the start of her world tour which opened Down Under .

Yes, there are the nasty reviews circulating out there right now about her purportedly mediocre 'breathless' performance and all the drama about audience-walkouts and wanting refunds.

Give her a break ok?

She's not done this for years and is starting an exhausting world tour. She's not hyper 16 'Miley Cyrus' you know?

Too all the nasty critiques out there, here's my 2-cents worth: If you're so good, people would have been paying to see YOU.

But you're nothing more than the hundreds of millions who've seen HER.

So stop the ego-fuelled 'I've got standards' walk-outs you've done to Britney and Whitney.

It's not as if Kylie would do any better dance or song , that clearly, both of which are better at .

Period.

Q ....If you've bought tickets just to be there and hope to see a train wreck, and have something to spill on your own disgruntled life with that "I should be famous too " thought , there are much better ways to spend your money. Like watching the kangaroos watch you and thinking 'Ewww, what's this toad of a human doing in our beautiful wilderness, and quickly hop off.

Top 3 Albums of 2009

This is the final week of dreaded 2009.

The music got better and more manic than ever.

And the battle for chart dominance was never this intense and strenuous on both the artistes and their fans.

Well, as the year finally closes with such crecendo, let me state my 2 cents worth of this year's Top 3 Biggest Albums of 2009.

Holler vulgarities at me if you want :-)

At#1 : Whitney Houston 's 'I Look To you ' . Not surprisingly, it really did Debut at #1 on the Bill Board Charts. Classy and timeless and very well produced. Every song is single-worthy. No one sings like she does. Period.

At #2 : Lady Gaga 's 'The Fame Monster'; formaliac and precise. Another round of song-chart dominance for sure.

At#2 (it's a tie!): Shakira's 'She-Wolf' is sexy, thumping hot and very well produced. Her multi-talents, as usual shines through unmistakably. This girl should not be big. She should be Huge.

At #3: Susan Boyles's 'I Dreamed A Dream'; this here is pure inspiration , where talent and sheer will to succeed brought her here. Memorable.

There , if you're still scrambling to get fresh music before the year closes, these 4are must-gets and you can pretty much give Michael Jackson, a final rest-in-peace.

Q ... for god's sakes!

Biggest Chart Debut album of 2009

Whitney Houston's latest album, 'I Look To You' debuted at #1 on the Billboard album charts and became 2009's biggest chart-debut album with over 400,000 albums sold in the opening week alone.

Just over a month later, Michael Jackson's posthumous soundtrack album release, 'This Is It' debut at #1 this week and beat Whitney's as the year's biggest selling chart debut album, by (just) a couple of thousand copies.

Although, it's worth mentioning that :

1) Whitney's album 'I Look To You' is still the biggest album chart debut this year for a female artiste and is already guaranteed to be one of this year's biggest selling albums by both a female singer and overall.
This album is critically aclaimed and is already slated for a Grammy nod and will likely continue to sell strongly for months and even years to come.

2) Michael's soundtrack album is essentially a greatest hits mixed into a 'live' setting as heard in the movie. It is obbviously banking on the late singer's hype over his sudden death and his upcoming biopic movie. It's not an album with material we haven't already heard, like, ten thousand times in the past in various formats. So , indeed, it rides only on the hype that will soon wear thin.

Interestingly,

1) Whitney will be replacing Mike for his string of concert-venue dates at O2 Arena, London which he was preparing for before his untimely demise.

2) Whitney's 'The Bodyguard' album is also the 2nd biggest selling album of all time , at 43 million copies and still going strong , after Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' album which sold 45 million copies but is as Halloween-dead as the singer himself.

'This is It' is unlikely to sell anywhere close to 'The Bodyguard' anyway, so it's discussion closed.

So, the battle rages on between The (late) King of Pop and The (comeback) Queen of the Night.

Battle of the Divas

It's been 4eva since I posted anything here.

So lets restart with a Bang.^^)

This month is the Battle of the Divas,I tell ya.

Vanessa Williams, the beauty who was the first Black to Win Miss America, finally has new material after all these years of silence and Ugly Betty.

Her 'The Real Thing' got critical acclaim and is doing well.

Louder and bigger (of course) is Whitney Houston .

Whitney launched her much anticipated comeack album , 'I Look To You' to much fan fare 2 weeks ago.

Well, it making a #1 debut on the Album charts on the Billboard Hot 100 and world wide as a matter of fact , proves, she's back !

And the world's accepting.

With big songs like the title track , the very intimate 'I Look to you' , the catchy 'Million Dollar Bill', the touching 'I Didn't Know my Own Stength' amongst others, (with my personal favourite 'Worth It' ) , it's easy to see how Whitney has traded lung power (still loads of it btw) for somthing more urban and connecting.

Brilliant. Surely one of the best albums and Grammy shoo-ins this year.
Madonna, on the other hand , just launched her third Greatest Hits collection, after her title track, the very nice (and me thinks is indeed one of her best songs thus far, up there with 'Hung Up' and 'Music') , 'Celebration'.

A very well-packaged album with posters and double Cds of her biggest hits from her long career (very heavy, yes) .

A much-needed reprieve from the ho hum Hard Candy.

Just like what 'GHV2' had to do with the damage caused by 'American Life', a couple of years back.

Well, this time, I can safely report that 'Celebration' is a much better album than even 'GHV2'. So, indeed, take heart. Maddie learnt her lessons (just).

Well , Beyonce on the other hand, just had her much banging performance at Singapore's F1 Night Race which the whole world was bound to have been watching.

And it also coincides with her launch of The Platinum edition for the recent Sasha album.

What next? Diamond Ed? This girl is manic, I tell ya.

I would have to say , well, Nippy and Maddie's albums are just a stamp to show who's the real deal amoungst a sea of Beyonces, Britneys, Rihannas and GaGas we have today

Well done!

Whitney , especially, she's in control and knows that a good effort is a Precise and concise effort.

The Wait is over.
