Cinderella and her glass slippers

Love @ first Sight

With your heart in intention and yearning desires, reaching out , no matter how vague and bleak the possibilities of knowing and finding that person that'll sway you off your feet, that happens.

I know . :-)

I took a chance and expected nothing.

But it did.

The miracles of life, love and intention.

And actually having that person look you up despite all the odds after a long time later, when your heart feels wrenched wondering why you didnt just say 'hi' there and then, that happens too. Wow.

Q ... there really is such a thing as love @ the VERY first sight indeed!

A knock on your door , with a glass slipper that fits....

The Diva is a Female version of a Hustler

A stunning-looking and strong-sounding Whitney Houston made a triumphant return to the stage at a pre-Grammy party honoring her mentor, music mogul Clive Davis.

"I've got it, I've got it!" Houston, looking glamorous in a skintight leopard dress, sang early Sunday morning as she belted a line from one of her classic hits, "I'm Every Woman." But more than a lyric, it summarized to the crowd of A-list superstars and top industry execs that the superstar _ whose drug use and erratic behavior had caused a shocking fall from grace just a few years ago _ was back in top form.

A smiling Houston performed Jennifer Hudson's hit "Spotlight," which earned her one of her four Grammy nominations, and got a standing ovation from the crowd.

But she raised the bar with a pairing with Barry Manilow, injecting one of his signature songs, "Weekend in New England," with a lacking ingredient _ soul.

Afterward, the Oscar-winner joined the audience (and friend Fantasia), stood in the front and danced and sang as Houston performed. Houston started off with "I Will Always Love You," but didn't hit the high, sustaining notes that made the song such a dramatic, stirring hit. Instead, she kept her voice at medium power, deciding to croon rather than soar.

But as she got into hits like "It's Not Right, But It's O.K.," her voice appeared to get stronger _ and louder, and while she never replicated the vocal gymnastics of some of her past work, delivered a mesmerizing performance nonetheless.

The 45-year-old, one of the best-selling artists of all time and among the greatest singers, hasn't made an album since 2002. Then she was was sinking due to drug use and a tumultuous personal life _ a far cry from the princess image she cultivated since her debut in the 1980s.

But the singer is expected to release an album sometime this year, and unlike other reported returns, this comeback seems to be the real deal.

"She was on it, she was happy _ she's back,"
said Foxx. "Everybody else watch out."

Going Gaga over her?

Not really.

Her music is electro pop ; like an updated 80's track record.

Formaliac. Great sounding but ultimately, lacking in emotion and connection.

More pop than grind.

Don't get me wrong , she's not bad a singer and producer and her Fame album, is really quite the self-indulgent streak as it is.

It keeps my mood up but does little to make me excited, just to say.

Her image? You do wonder what all the hype is about. She's the next stylista since Madonna , apparently.

Ok , seriously, my take is that she's kinda trashy. Strange. And certainly, not pretty or easy on the eyes.

She's all over the place.

Much like street-walker gone wrong.

More in the hood than from the hoodlum.

So no, I'm not hatin this new girl on the block, she's good in her own kinky way, but no, I'm not going GaGa.

It (actually) Felt good. (!)

It was liberating.

I know we still have that deep seated respect and love for each other. And can still talk.

But I just eventually felt a need to tell this person off. In the most tactful way I could possibly muster.

But I cannot stand the selfishness of this person. Not any longer .

***My exact words in text message :
" Perhaps you're too young to know what its like to really love someone. One day you will. Now the world is still your own. You will love. You will hurt. You will then know what's it like to hear the words you say. ... "
Indeed.

Never mind if this Person thinks I'm peevish. Rather that than gutless.

This person has always been overtly sensitive to what other's do or say to thy.

But is self-centered, judgemental, arrogant and insensitive in both words and action towards others.

If relationship -karma is something true, thy will one day have a lot coming thy's way.

And then thy will look back at our time together and things I've said.

Thy will regret. Thy will hurt.

Thy will learn to share thy's world with others.

Q .... my love is that one day, hopefully, you'll be a better. Being able to love more than yourself.

PS:
Would like to quote:
"...there's more to life than obsessing about yourself."
says Pop superstar and soon broadway-star, Spice girl Mel B.

Superbly Superb

The All-new Skoda Superb, is really a renewed Audi A6.

And even then, saying it hardly does it justice.

Not merely slapping on a new face and new badges.

The entire platform is stretched by a hell lot. (Think lounge room and still space left for a dance troupe just for entertainment)

Equipment levels and build quality have taken an upswing several notches as well.

What you get is a superb value for money limo costing half the price of the usual suspects.

How good is it?

Barely launched anywhere and already it garnered a string of international awards from 'best looking ' to simply being 'the best' .

The ingenius twin-hindged boot lid is a masterpiece as worthy of the theatrics as a foldable hardtop would.
Only this time, the boot ain't tiny and you could actually fit a cow in.

So good is this car, it recently beat hands-down , get this, a BMW 7 Series and Bentley Continental in an Autocar comparo . As well as the very car it was based on, the Audi A6.

Imagine.

Q ... if ever in the market for a (really) big car, this is it.
