But I'm just getting quite hyped up by this new girl group called The Satudays.

Not since EnVogue has there been another girl group that quite harks back to the good ole 60's for inspiration for their public image and personas.





Quite the fashionistas as you guessed it.

Music-wise, they are your typical girl group not unlike Sugar Babes, TLC, All Saints ,Destiny's Child, Girls Aloud and Danity Kane.

Not as wild as The Spice Girls or Pussy Cat Dolls, but still, highly likeable.

These girls can pose and pout like the best of them.

Scary Spice Mel B has a great body. Total hotness, we know.

So, it's high time she puts it on the pedestal and let millions worship it for posterity.

(And earn a million bucks in the process. That, on top of what ever lucrative deals that'll follow. Not to mention a huge publicty stunt for her upcoming Peep Diva act in Las Vegas. )

So where's the Cash Cow mooing from, then?

By being on the cover and centrefold of Playboy magazine.

Mel B is keen to bare all in the explicit magazine.

The former Spice Girl recently revealed she had turned down two offers to appear in the publication but is starting to warm to the idea.



She said:

'I was offered Playboy last year and again a couple of months ago, and I did turn them down, but that's not to say I wouldn't consider it in the future. I have no problems walking around the house naked or anything.'

Short is Hot

Long flowing tresses have always been the most desirable. The wind-in-the-hair effect does wonders to flatter and has built many a career into superstar-dom.

Just ask Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Pamela Anderson, Gisele Bundchen and Tyra Banks.

But there are those who's edginess is un-inhindered. They whose faces are so strong, structured and distinctive that defying the convention, they still look absolutely stunning rather than butch.


Just look at the following sirens of entertainment:

R&B princess Rihanna : Her career popped when she went short and edgy and stopped being yet another Mariah/Beyonce clone.



Iconic virtual news anchor, Ananova : she's been big (and remains so) since exploding onto the News world back in the late 90's. If she looked like a country girl-next-door with locks instead of her famed edgy-androgyny, where would she be today?


From being a member of arguably the most successful and influential girl group in pop history, The Spice Girls, to the world's most famous current-day fashion icon, Victoria Beckham achieved it all by having short hair that only got shorter and edgier over the years. Now that's fierce.

Mary J Blige's career always hinged on the fact that she's such an amazing crowd stirrer with that raw soulful voice. Her career became real Fine (Wooo!) when she went short and fabulous.


Hers was an image that Mariah Carey had to shun in order to carve out her own niche. So, it's easy to see why Whitney's hair do has always been short and edgy even before the world caught on to the formula. Being one of the biggest selling artiste of all time, Whitney remains the Pop Superstar that she is; different and outstanding.

So indeed, a short crop is cool for the wearer but red hot for everyone else who notices.

When you're a famous pop star, you're flattered by bootlickers and fans to a point where your ego begins to swell larger than your head ( or that recent boob job) .

You begin to think that you're too big even for your own famous name.

Maybe the Spice Girls started it with their Baby, Sporty, Ginger, Scary and Posh tags way back then.
And Madonna was the Material Girl and Bette Midler was The Divine Miss M even before it was hip to do so.

But these DivAAAAAs use their reinvented egos to swell their fame and coffers.



Jennifer Lopez started it. she became known simply as J-Lo.

(with an ego that swollen she still tried hard to persuade the public that Her Love don't cost a Thing and that she's still just Jenny from The Block. Whateva ya Miss Bronx-0-fabulous.)



Suddenly, Janet Jackson made sure everyone knew that she had always been Damita Jo.

(or we could otherwise just call her Lil Miss Wacko Jacko.. which isn't glam isn't it? but neither is an exposed Nipple...)



Mariah made a massive comback by reinvinting herself as Mimi.

(And yes, she claims that she really did grew up with that nic. And my childhood nic was really Fifi.)



Lo and behold...

Beyonce Knowles now proudly announces that she IS Sasha Fierce.

Note, it is not 'I'm also called' but 'I AM' .

Peep Diva

Mel B is to star in her own Las Vegas burlesque show.

The former Spice Girl will play leading lady Peep Diva in the classy 'Peepshow' strip show next year.

A source said: 'Mel can't wait. She won't go topless, but she will be showing a considerable amount of flesh in a range of sexy stage outfits. I'm sure Mel's husband is hoping she will bring some of them home.'

'Peepshow' is set to open at Las Vegas' Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in April 2009.

The production will feature Mel's character leading another dancer, Bo Peep - played by US TV star Kelly Monaco - from a timid girl to a confident, sensual woman.

Mel, 33, added: 'This is an original show. The Peep Diva is a diva, but it's all about empowering Kelly's part.'

Both Mel and Kelly have previously appeared on 'Dancing with the Stars'.

The show's creator, choreographer Jerry Mitchell, said: 'We have gathered 20 of the sexiest dancers ... with 'Peepshow' these stunning dancers will use their bodies to tell a story.'

Yes , Mel B is smoking Hot.

Spicey Comeback (n Goodbye?)

This is strangely the time for come-backs for mega-stars in the music businees who all decided to take a career hiatus in the early 2000s... mostly to have babies.:)

Serious. Think Ultra Nate, Celine Dion, Nelly Furtado ,Britney Spears, most of the Spice Girls, et al

And then the next wave of pop-mamas will be the likes of Chirstina Aguilera and Jennifer Lopez.

Who's next? Mariah? Nay.... not likely. LOL

Anyway, if you're still part of the (very) small group of uninitiated folks out there, The Spice Girls, are back, and with lots of pent-up vengence. :op

Lot's to celebrate about:

1) Posh Victoria Adams-Beckham continues her onslaught of the North Amercian Market, starting with a very anticipated (and expected) guest-starring role as ... who else but her stylish-self, on hit drama 'Ugly Betty'.

2) Scary Mel B is proud mama to Hollywood actor Eddie Murphy's baby boy and is currently a big draw on 'Dancing with the Stars' hit-reality show.

3) Baby Emma Bunton just had her own baby-baby and a new album coming up.

4) Ginger Geri Halliwell, is enjoying motherhood, has lots more hosting gigs in the US, and is planning her own come-back album release and to continue her reign as The 'UK Female Artist with the most #1-hits to her name' (sorry it's just not Madonna, Kylie or Whitney, thank you.)

5) Sporty Mel C is basking in her new sexy image and running her own production company now; expect new music from her too.

6) Best of all, the girls are now embarking on their World Tour, starting with an extravaganza-performance at this year's Victoria's Secret Fashion show 2008. OMG!!!!

Anyway, over this weekend and the rest of next week, the long-awaited and much anticipated

Spice Girls' Greatest Hits album

is finally out in stores. :-)

These girls are all grown up now and they prefer Gems to Gummy-bears, getit? :-)

The Big Question remains: Is this a one-off 'Comeback'? And then yet another 'Goodbye'?

Or will we see more of these Spicey Mamas preaching about how 'friendship never ends'?...

Spice Re-Union Flag

Today: Sexy-Sophistication. Lookin for a good time.

Then: Girls are girls. Brash and loud. Had a good time.

It's been over a full decade since they first dominated pop-culture.... Ginger, Scary, Baby, Sporty and Posh are 'bout to make a Girl Power-smashin again. :P

They are one of those teenage crushes we all hate to admit we had.

'Wannabe' , '2 Become 1' , 'Viva Forever' et al ....a slew of international #1-hits.

We made it happen. The fans sent it all right up there into the stratosphere.

So admit. We all love to hate them. But we DON'T.

With flagging careers and many more mouths to feed (how many babies again? Not including Baby Spice), they are going back on tour.

No more ego-trips like 'I'm gonna make it on my own and so I don't need you' cattiness.

No more sore-denials like " She didn't sing that much anyway' rebuttals.

And finally, a Greatest Hits album will be out pronto.

So many #1 hits. So many #1 albums. It's a spicy wonder in itself why the heck these sistas are taking so long to sum it up .

Well, if you want it to end on a high note (and what a long note it has been), end it by being the feature-artist on the world-famous Victoria's Secret fashion show.

Millions will be tuning in. The exposure (pun fully intended) is massive. Typical Spice Girl hype.

Guess these Spicy Mamas won't be the ones wearing the least clothes this time round eh?
