Ladies and Gentlemen ...

ST Sunday had an article today regarding Singaporean women and their expectations of how guys shud treat them.

Overwhelming response is that they expect their guys to pay for dates, open car doors for them, dress up well and buy gifts and ... and ... and...

Ok. Getit.

I think when I love and respect someone ,
I will do special things without needing the hints and the prompts.

But
there's a limit.

B'cos , if SHE trully loves and respects me as well, she would see me for who I am and my limitations and NOT treat me as Personal Assistant, driver, porter, waiter, ATM machine and what have you.

Living in Singapore is expensive. Lifestyles here are hectic and tiresome.

It wears down even the strongest guy.

If she expects so much,
she's not being real.

What if this poor fella is not earning a sizeable income? Other mouths to feed? What if he rides a bike? What if he works long and irregular hours?

If the Quinteessential Singaporean Girl is fighting for Equality of the Sexes, then she CANNOT EXPECT , still, to be treated 'LIKE A LADY'.

Want to be one of the guys? Then take it all stock and barrel.

Increasingly, also, many local gals are beginning to be very 'chor lor'/ un-lady like.

It takes two hands to clap.

If you want your BF to be a 'Gentleman' , then you better be a 'Lady' as well.

Otherwise, crap out.

^^

That Special Gal is special to me indeed.

But that doesnt mean I'd jump off the Titanic and into the killer-freeze Atlantic ocean to retrieve that Diamond Necklace.

That's in the movies, thank Q v'ry much.
