One of my fave soul singers of all time. She with the ghetto-fab get-up and the Voice of Angst, maverick-ness, a lack in social conformity and rebellion, has won BIG at the Grammys.
5 Awards.
Congrats to her and to hell with the naysayers who say that her personal life, wrought with substance abuse makes her an 'undeserving winner' and 'setting a bad example'.
Sh*t heads.

All the Soul Greats..from Aretha, to Patti to Chaka to Whitney to Mariah... all have had their
Breakdowns.
This is what you get when one sings from the soul.
But with adversity, comes strength.
Winehouse will pull through this.
