Today's article in ST Sunday was saying how
locally, the beach wear culture is prevalent and people are walking around in berms and flip flops every where.
Yes, by everywhere, I mean EVERWHERE.
Even posh restaurants (dish washer anyone?), high-end goods shops (obviously you make expensive stuff look cheap on yourself), car show rooms (good luck in convincing the sales person you can afford the ride), theater performances (sorry dirty ole men, the strip club is next door), talks and lectures (if your lecturer walks into class in flip flops and berms, how would YOU have felt?) and even to the clubs (ZoukOut is only in December, honey!)
Seriously, the locals had better buck up way lot.
Foreign friends have been commenting how unruly we look and how very improper we dress.
No sense of style, no sense of decorum or occasion.
My stand is that you'll NEVER CATCH ME DEAD in the middle of Town looking like a New Urban Male.
Better late than never? No... Better well-dressed or Never!
Q
> Sloppiness is NOT tolerated.
And my closest pals know that . :)
